We don’t always recommend renovations. Sometimes its just going to cost too much to bring a house up to a point where buyers will consider it up to date. Sometimes we recommend to only stage to freshen up the look and see how it goes. Our goal is for an end user to buy it because they love the location and the layout. Staging helps buyers see how they would live in the house. For a young couple seeing grandmas furniture, makes it look like there is more work than there really is. In this particular house, the bones were good, just needed to update the bathrooms and kitchen. We did not want to hide anything, just wanted to freshen up the house with our furniture, art and accessories, so when buyers come in – they only see the real issues and not look at the whole thing like there is too much work.
